Understanding Your Dashboard¶
The dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in to Voxum. It gives you a quick overview of your chatbot's health, knowledge base, and usage. This guide explains what each section means.
Dashboard Overview¶

System Health¶
The System Health section shows whether your chatbot is working properly.
| Indicator | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active Sessions | Number of people currently chatting with your bot |
| Vector Store: Connected | Your knowledge base is working (green = good) |
| Vector Store: Disconnected | There's a problem - contact support |
Tip
If you see "Disconnected" for more than a few minutes, try refreshing the page. If the problem persists, contact support.
Knowledge Base¶
This section shows what your chatbot knows:
- Documents - Total number of documents you've uploaded
- Response Rules - Custom rules you've created for specific answers
- Conversation Flows - Multi-step guided conversations you've built
What the Numbers Mean¶
| Metric | Good to know |
|---|---|
| Documents | More documents = more knowledge. Start with at least 5-10 key documents. |
| Response Rules | Create rules for your most common questions. 10-20 rules is a good start. |
| Conversation Flows | Use flows for complex processes like booking. Even 1-2 flows can be powerful. |
Usage Metrics¶
The usage section shows how much your chatbot is being used:
- Chats - Total conversations this billing period
- Emails - Contact forms submitted through the widget
- SMS - Text messages sent (if enabled)
Each metric shows:
- Current count
- Your plan limit
- A progress bar showing usage percentage
Approaching your limit?
If you're close to your plan limit, consider upgrading to avoid interruptions. Go to Account Settings → Billing to view plans.
Storage Usage¶
Shows how much document storage you're using:
- Current storage used (in MB or GB)
- Your plan's storage limit
- Visual progress bar
Note
Storage is calculated based on your uploaded documents. Processing doesn't add to storage - only the original files count.
Quick Actions¶
The dashboard includes shortcuts to common tasks:
