Billing

Manage your subscription, view invoices, and update payment information.

Accessing Billing

  1. Go to Profile or Settings
  2. Click on Billing or Subscription
  3. You'll see your current plan and payment details

Your Current Plan

Viewing Plan Details

Your billing page shows:

  • Plan name - Which subscription you're on
  • Price - Monthly or annual cost
  • Billing cycle - When you're charged
  • Next billing date - When payment is due

Understanding Usage

See how much of your plan you're using:

Metric What It Means
Chats Conversations this billing period
Documents Files in your knowledge base
Storage Document and file storage used
Emails Contact forms captured

Usage resets at the start of each billing period.

Tip

Check your usage regularly to avoid hitting limits unexpectedly.

Upgrading Your Plan

If you need more capacity:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Upgrade or Change Plan
  3. Select a new plan
  4. Confirm the change
  5. You'll be charged the prorated difference

Upgrades take effect immediately.

Downgrading Your Plan

To move to a smaller plan:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select a lower tier
  4. Confirm the change

Downgrades typically take effect at the next billing cycle.

Before Downgrading

Make sure your current usage fits within the new plan's limits. You may need to remove documents or reduce usage first.

Payment Methods

Viewing Payment Methods

See your current payment method:

  • Card type and last 4 digits
  • Expiration date
  • Billing address

Adding a New Payment Method

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Enter card details
  4. Click Save

Updating Payment Information

If your card expires or you want to use a different card:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Update next to your payment method
  3. Enter new card details
  4. Click Save

Removing a Payment Method

  1. Add a new payment method first
  2. Then remove the old one

Note

You must have at least one valid payment method on file.

Invoices and Receipts

Viewing Invoices

See your payment history:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Scroll to Invoice History or Payments
  3. View list of past invoices

Downloading Invoices

  1. Find the invoice you need
  2. Click Download or the PDF icon
  3. Save for your records

Invoice Details

Each invoice shows:

  • Invoice number and date
  • Plan and billing period
  • Amount charged
  • Payment method used
  • Tax information (if applicable)

Billing Issues

Payment Failed

If a payment fails:

  1. Check that your card is valid
  2. Ensure sufficient funds
  3. Update payment information if needed
  4. Contact your bank if issues persist

Unexpected Charges

If you see a charge you don't recognize:

  1. Check your invoice for details
  2. Review any plan changes
  3. Contact support with the invoice number

Cancellation

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Follow the prompts to confirm

After cancellation:

  • You retain access until the end of your billing period
  • Your data may be retained for a limited time
  • You can reactivate before the period ends

When am I charged?

You're charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your plan).

Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?

Contact support to switch billing frequencies.

Do unused features roll over?

Typically, unused chat limits don't roll over to the next period. Check your plan details.

How do I get a refund?

Contact support within 30 days of a charge if you believe a refund is warranted.

Can I pause my subscription?

Contact support to discuss pausing options.

Tax Information

Adding Tax ID

If you need invoices with your business tax ID:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Find Tax Information
  3. Add your tax ID / VAT number
  4. Future invoices will include this

Tax Exemption

If you're tax-exempt, contact support with documentation.
